More Information

This is a special event for moms to enjoy with their daughters (1st-8th grade), or a fun outing for your whole CG group.

All are welcome, whether you are part of an active CG Group, are considering starting a new CG group, or have never heard of CG before.

We are putting together a beautiful, upscale event, but moms and daughters are welcome to dress in any attire that feels “right”. Dress it up, or not. It’s totally up to you!

Event includes:

  • A message from CG Founder, Terra Mattson, and her oldest daughter, Adonia (16), the original Courageous Girl. They will be speaking about how to comfort our big emotions by caring for ourselves and others. From anxiety to anger, and insecurity to excitement, Terra and Adonia want to help every mom and daughter walk away with practical tools, inspiration and a reminder that we are loved and can love others well.

  • Worship Music by Joi Hailey and friends

  • Special Music by Jeff Mattson and Aaron Doerr

  • Skits by Tessa Doerr (17) and Elise Newton (17)

  • Delicious sweet treats from Lux Sucre and Kyra’s Bake Shop (gf/df/nf treats will be provided)

  • Hot cocoa & tea

  • CG Pop-Up Shop (merchandise and resources available for purchase)

  • A discount on the “Helping Moms Raise Confident Daughters” courses

  • Though the event will be fun and interactive, guests will be expected to sit at their table for almost 2 hours. This can be very challenging for daughters who have not yet entered 1st grade. Daughters who have already entered high school may find the event a bit too juvenile for their taste. That being said…Mamas, you know your daughters and we trust your judgement.

  • Of course! We’d love for you to bring all of your daughters to this special event. Or alternatively, think about whether this might a good opportunity for a 1-on-1 date with one of your daughters.

  • Yes, scholarships are available for this event. If you would like to request financial assistance, please reach out to info@mycourageousgirls.com.

  • Truly, anything goes! Feel free to make it fancy or casual. We want you and your daughter(s) to be comfortable. You can expect to see some “dressed to the nines” while others are in sweats and hoodies.

  • Masks are optional at this event.

  • There will not be assigned seating. Doors will open at 2:00pm and we recommend coming early if you hope to reserve seating for a group. Tables will be set for 8 guests. Please be flexible and extend grace and hospitality to folks looking for seats. Let’s work together to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a place at the table.

  • No. We would love to see you at the event so you can experience everything in person.

  • Yes! We’ll have a small store set up onsite so you can see all the great options and possibly take home a souvenir. Making a purchase at the CG Shop is a great way to support the CG movement!

  • The desserts set on the tables will be regular bakery items that may contain gluten, dairy, and/or nuts, but don’t worry! We will have a separate supply of desserts that are gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. There will be a CG volunteer assigned to serve your table, so just let them know you have special dietary needs and they will bring your special treats. Contact us at info@mycourageousgirls.com if you have further questions or concerns.
